Bernard Séguin
BIOGRAPHY
Born on the Plateau Mont-Royal in 1949, Bernard Seguin Poirier is the fourth child of a family of nine, with two sisters and four brothers. His father, Marcel Poirier, was a goldsmith and his mother, Rolande Seguin,
was a painter and sculptor. His parents, originally from Soulanges in the west of Montreal, moved to Ville-Emard, where they attracted a large clientele from churches in Quebec and Europe.

Né à Montréal en 1949, dans ce qui est aujourd’hui le Plateau Mont-Royal, Bernard Séguin Poirier est le quatrième d’une famille de sept enfants, deux filles et cinq garçons.
Son père, Marcel Poirier est orfèvre joaillier et sa mère, Rolande Séguin, artiste-peintre et sculpteur. Le couple, originaire de la région de Soulanges à l’ouest de Montréal, s’établit ensuite à Ville-Émard d’où il dessert principalement une clientèle ecclésiastique allant de l’épiscopat québécois jusqu’à l’Europe.
